West Horsley is a wonderful Historic Semi-Rural Village and gateway to the Surrey Hills located between Guildford and Cobham. We first appeared in the Doomsday book of 1086. We have many beautiful listed and historic houses including West Horsley Place, a Medieval manor house dating back to1425. In addition, we have an internationally renowned Opera House on the same grounds, Grange Park Opera. Our village location is on the A246, and south of the M25 and the A3. Our boundaries as a civil parish ascends to our ancient woodland “Sheepleas Woods” which are on the northern downslopes of hills known as the North Downs. The bulk of the village is north of the Surrey Hills AONB, the rest is within it. Our 500-year-old Oak tree marks the centre of our linear style village and network of countryside walks. Our transport network is South West Trains via Horsley Station, 10 Mins to Guildford, 7 mins to Cobham, and we are only 45mins from London Waterloo Station.
