The process of creating a Parish Plan is a means of gaining a better understanding of the issues and priorities for the development of the Parish whilst conserving those features which make it an attractive and valued place to live.
Parish Plans are based on the priorities of the community laying out a shared vision for the community over the next 5-10 years and containing a detailed action plan for achieving this vision.
Parish Plans guide action to meet local needs, help to prioritise resources and can provide important information to help influence the policies, decisions and actions of others. Parish Plans belong to the community, to be delivered by the community or in partnership with other agencies.
It is hoped that the West Horsley Parish Plan can be ready by early next year.
The Parish Plan Committee's task is to raise interest in the community, stimulate debate and provide opportunities, both in meetings and in questionnaires, for the village's voice to be heard.
A public meeting will take place in West Horsley Village Hall on September 29th.All will be very welcome!!
